Terms of Use

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Privacy

Please read carefully. By creating an account, uploading content, sharing files, or otherwise using Europavault, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between you and Europavault Technologies (“Europavault,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Europavault website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Europavault provides privacy-oriented encrypted storage, credential management, and secure file-sharing tools. Files and credentials are encrypted on your device before they are transmitted to our infrastructure. Encryption keys and decryption passwords are controlled by you, not by Europavault.

The Service is designed around a zero-knowledge architecture: we store encrypted data on your behalf, but we do not hold the keys required to read that data.

3. Zero-Knowledge Architecture — What We Cannot See or Do

Because of how the Service is built, Europavault cannot access, read, decrypt, inspect, interpret, or verify the contents of files, credentials, or other data you store or share through the Service. We receive and retain only encrypted blobs and associated metadata necessary to operate the Service (such as file names you choose, sizes, timestamps, and account identifiers).

As a result:

  • We do not know what your stored files contain.
  • We cannot determine whether stored or shared content is lawful, accurate, safe, or free of malware.
  • We cannot moderate, filter, scan, or validate user content at the content level.
  • We cannot recover your encryption passwords or decryption keys if you lose them.

This is a deliberate design choice to protect your privacy. It also means that responsibility for the nature and use of stored content rests entirely with you.

4. Your Responsibilities & User Content

You are solely responsible for all content you upload, store, manage, share, or download through the Service, including files, credentials, share links, and encryption passwords (“User Content”).

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have all rights and permissions necessary to store and, where applicable, share your User Content.
  • Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Your User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You agree not to use the Service to store, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or otherwise objectionable, or to facilitate any illegal activity. Because we cannot inspect encrypted content, we rely on you to comply with these obligations, and we do not undertake to monitor or enforce them at the content level.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe the Service is being used in violation of these Terms or applicable law, based on information available to us (such as abuse reports, legal process, or account-level activity). Such action does not imply that we have reviewed or verified the underlying encrypted content.

5. Shared Files & Downloads — Your Risk

The Service allows you to generate share links so that others may download encrypted files. Anyone who receives a share link and decryption key can decrypt and access the shared file.

If you choose to download a file shared through Europavault, you do so entirely at your own risk. Europavault does not know who created the share, what the file contains, or whether the file is safe, legitimate, or lawful. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee shared content.

Before opening, executing, or relying on any downloaded file, you are solely responsible for verifying its source, integrity, and safety, including using appropriate antivirus or security tools. Europavault disclaims all liability arising from your decision to access, download, open, or use any shared file or link.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, two-factor authentication devices, encryption passwords, and share-link decryption keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.

Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We cannot reset or recover lost encryption passwords or decryption keys.

7. Security Measures — No Absolute Guarantee

We implement technical and organizational measures intended to protect the Service and the encrypted data we store, including industry-standard practices around authentication, transport security, and infrastructure hardening.

However, no system is completely secure or infallible. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • We cannot and do not guarantee that the Service, your account, your User Content, or your credentials will be 100% secure, immune from unauthorized access, or permanently available.
  • Data loss, service interruption, security incidents, or unauthorized access may occur despite our efforts.
  • You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for maintaining your own backups of anything you consider important.

Security is a shared responsibility. Our measures reduce risk; they do not eliminate it.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY.

Without limiting the foregoing, Europavault does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any data you store will remain intact, accessible, or retrievable at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EUROPAVAULT TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO EUROPAVAULT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Europavault Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (d) any harm caused to a third party through content you stored or shared; or (e) any dispute between you and another user or recipient of a shared file.

11. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans, where offered, are billed according to the pricing and terms presented at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise.

We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. Continued use after a pricing change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Europavault Technologies in the jurisdiction of its establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
